Are you a nature lover who would do anything to be near a waterfall? Are wildflowers calling your name and the cool water looking pretty refreshing? Then we have the answer for you! Come visit one of these three stunning waterfalls that are hidden in The Great Smoky Mountains. These breathtaking locations are just the spot for an afternoon hike and a dip in a cool mountain stream.
Laurel Falls is a 2.6 mile roundtrip hike that will take you through the woods and over hills to the most beautiful destination. Enjoy the hardwood forest and the lovely flowers all the way up the trail. This is one hike you won’t want to miss.
This 5 mile in-and-back trail is perfect for an afternoon or morning hike. It’s a very popular trail in the Smokies though so be sure to time your arrival well and try to get there early rather than later. However, the waterfall at the end is worth any amount of crowds!
Grotto falls is another 2.6 roundtrip hike and is an easy trail that the whole family can enjoy. Parking on this trail is limited so make sure to arrive early for this one too. If you’re feeling particularly adventurous you can travel past Grotto Falls and continue on to Mt. LeConte.
No matter the hike you decide on, you’ll need a place to rest your head at night. Check out Mountain Time Cabin Rentals for some of the most comfortable log cabins in the Smokies. They have a place for any group and you won’t regret your decision to stay in one of their beautiful cabins.
